Network privacy reference
A11 Mediation passes privacy signals to every integrated network that supports them. The exceptions below need action from the publisher.
Non-child-directed networks
Starting with MDN SDK 3.0.0, when isChildDirected is set to true, A11 Mediation automatically suppresses ad requests to networks that are not child-directed. No publisher action is required.
| Ad Network |

| AppLovin / MAX mediation |
AdMob / Google Ad Manager (GAM) mediation
If you use AdMob or Google Ad Manager mediation, you are responsible for setting privacy signals correctly on every SDK mediated by AdMob/GAM before initializing A11 Mediation.
LevelPlay mediation
Android only
Available from MDN11 SDK 3.2.10 with LevelPlay adapter 9.0.0 (LevelPlay SDK 9.6.0).
Vendor.UNITY_ADS represents LevelPlay mediation
There is no separate LevelPlay vendor. To set consent for LevelPlay mediation, set the Vendor.UNITY_ADS entry in setUserConsent(). The consent you set for Vendor.UNITY_ADS is the value forwarded to the LevelPlay SDK.
A11 Mediation maps the privacy signals you set through the MDN11 privacy API to the LevelPlay SDK:
| MDN11 API | LevelPlay SDK signal | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| setUserConsent (UserConsent) |
LevelPlayPrivacySettings.setGDPRConsent (Boolean) |
GDPR / LGPD consent. Only the Vendor.UNITY_ADS entry in consents is forwarded. If it is missing, nothing is forwarded. |
| setDoNotSell (Boolean) |
LevelPlayPrivacySettings.setCCPA (Boolean) |
true means the user has opted out of the sale of their personal information. |
| setChildDirected (Boolean) |
LevelPlayPrivacySettings.setCOPPA (Boolean) |
Applied only before LevelPlay is initialized. |
| setChildDirected (true) |
LevelPlay.setMetaData ("is_deviceid_optout", "true") |
Blocks access to the Advertising ID. Set only when the app is child-directed. |
| setChildDirected (true) |
LevelPlay.setMetaData ("Google_Family_Self_Certified_SDKS", "true") |
Only initializes SDKs certified under Google's Families Self-Certified Ads SDK Program. Set only when the app is child-directed. |
Signals are passed through, never cleared
A11 Mediation only passes the values you set to the LevelPlay SDK. It never resets or removes a value that has already been forwarded.
Example: you call setUserConsent() with Vendor.UNITY_ADS set to true. Later in the same app session, you call setUserConsent() again, but this time without a Vendor.UNITY_ADS entry. LevelPlay keeps the GDPR consent set to true, because A11 Mediation does not forward a value that is missing. To change the signal, set it again explicitly (for example, Vendor.UNITY_ADS to false).
Publisher action required
A11 Mediation sets privacy signals on the LevelPlay SDK only. LevelPlay itself propagates these signals to the ad networks it mediates through its own network adapters.
Check the LevelPlay documentation for how LevelPlay passes each signal to its mediation adapters. Make sure this matches the ad network SDKs used in your app, and set any additional signals those networks need yourself.
If you are unsure which of the above applies to your integration, contact your Aurion11 representative.
